The Vida Tennis Group Hot Shots kids tennis lessons are run in a fun, enthusiastic environment with emphasis on developing the fundamental motor skills for tennis and everyday life. These sessions are run each day of the week. Contact Vida for specific times suitable for your child.
All children in group Hot Shots lessons will be guided by the My Vida Journey program which Vida Tennis have designed to help children through the learning tennis process. The program highlights the tennis pathway, and kids receive certificates along the way to mark their achievements. Once completed they can then take their “next steps” into competition, squads and more. There are two areas of the with the my Vida journey; Head Start Program and the my Progress Program.
Group sessions are energetic, high participation, with small class sizes to creating a great environment to fast track learning and individual development. As the players progress the emphasis is placed on tactical and technique awareness. Players will be placed in groups of similar age and standard and a racquet can be provided for the session if required.

This is for the more serious Tennis Player who wants to play for the club against other clubs in the Blackburn District Area. Organise a team with your mates or play for the Club. Doubles competition (4 to a team). Contact the office for more information.
Night comp teams play in the BDNTA on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. All players need to be members of the club and there is a weekly cost to play this comp. A full adult membership is inclusive of light costs, so when night comp teams have a home match, they will not need to pay the weekly week. The away team will still pay the fee which will contribute to the ball costs. The MCC Kew players will need to pay the weekly fee for away fixtures.
Tennis Victoria’s Pennant competition is the largest interclub representative competition in the country with over 3500 junior and adult players representing 150 clubs. Tennis Victoria Pennant is played during the winter season (April – August) and is played over 14 weeks plus finals. Play begins at 9am on a Saturday morning for Women and at 1pm on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for Men (Sunday afternoon also Women’s teams available).
The format consists of singles and doubles played on alternate weeks, with all rubbers the best of 3 tiebreak sets. The Men’s Masters (age 45+) and Men’s Open Doubles play a best of 3 tiebreak sets, doubles only format every week.
Vida Tennis runs School Holiday Tennis clinics in each school break. The days are run in a fun relaxed environment and consist of; coaching and stroke development, activities, tennis base games, round robin tournament play with prizes and much more. It’s a great way for children to spend their holidays with their friends. There is also a wet weather program at the majority of programs to ensure the program continues.
Often as part of these programs an in house Round Robin Tournament is run which places kids in sections against kids of a similar standard. This is a great way for players to get started into tournament and competition play.
Ladies Programs are held at all venues on various days and is suitable for those wishing to improve their tennis skills and fitness levels in a high energy, fun, energetic environment. The program is suitable for both the competition or non-competition player. The ladies program is a great way to continue the “game for life” with friends.
The best thing about Cardio Tennis is that you do not have to be good at tennis to get involved. In fact, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before. Your Cardio coach or fitness trainer can cater activities to all fitness levels and tennis. Cardio Tennis burns calories, has endless activities and you have social workouts with friends. We will have you feeling great and back in shape in no time at all.
When it comes to calories, it’s simple: burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight and feel great. In the modern time-poor world, it can be hard to keep fit, let alone find a program that is fun and energising.
Individual private tennis lessons are coaches by our qualified experience staff and session encompass all facets of the modern game. The four key areas of development are the primary focus; technical, tactical, mental and movement. Video analysis is a key component in private tennis lessons and there are different length lessons available (30, 45, 60, 90 minutes) depending on the individual.
Semi private lessons are also available with two in the class.
MCC Kew providers junior competitions teams in the Eastern Region Tennis. Vida Tennis manage the club’s junior competition with teams on both Saturdays and Sundays. Each player who represents the club will receive a club shirt in their first season as part of their competition fees. The season fee is $55 which goes towards the cost of nominating the teams to the association, the balls and shirts. This cost will be invoiced from Vida Tennis Kew. All players are required to be members of the club. A year junior membership is only $50 and can be done at the club or on the club website.
