About MCC Kew

MCC Kew is a sports club based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne located about 10 kilometres from the CBD. Formerly known as Kew Heights Sports Club (Est. 1998) which was an amalgamation of the Kew Bowling Club (Est. 1880) and Auburn Heights Recreation Club (Est. 1904). The club is now owned by the Melbourne Cricket Club, the largest sporting club in Australia.

Following a six-month multimillion dollar refurbishment project, the club now features ultra-modern sporting and social facilities. MCC Kew offers a wide range of sports, activities and facilities for the enjoyment of members of all ages. There are 6 en-tous-cas tennis courts and also 3 lawn bowls greens which are perfect for a multitude of other purposes, including group fitness and yoga classes.

The Melbourne Bridge Club, one of the largest and oldest Bridge clubs in Victoria, hosts up to 7 weekly sessions for hundreds of members here at the sports club. The club has function spaces perfect for hosting any special occasion whether it’s a birthday, wedding, meeting, presentation or a wake. The main function space is able to seat 160 people with various catering options available. The club is open 7 days a week and the office and fully licensed bar are open 5 days a week.

The sports club is in close vicinity to both train and tram and with 40 on-site car spots, it is easily accessible by members and guests. Recently, the club featured as a Tennis Victoria Top 50 Club. Being in the heart of a neighbourhood it is located near Carey, Xavier, Trinity, Camberwell Grammar, MLC, Ruyton, Genazzano, Camberwell Girls and Preshil schools. The community environment and family-orientated club facilities are ideal for all types from beginner to advance.
